NEWS: Saturday of Service
24/03/2008 S.I.Birkenhead became a 'Groundforce' team for this year's Saturday of Service. The ladies gave their time working on a project to turn a very bleak yard into a garden where flowers, herbs and vegetables could be grown. The Adult Learning Centre in Birkenhead had been given a large boat which was used to create an interesting focal point to the garden (click to see picture). The garden also contains a greenhouse and many planters, which are made at the Centre. It is hoped that the garden will be a focus for relaxation, inspiration and privacy to everyone at the Centre.
