President's Message

I'm Margaret Stewart, I have been a member of the club for the last six years, for five years I have undertaken the role of Club Secretary, and now feel priveleged to be President.

My theme for the year is Support Service and Friendship which reflects the idealisms of Soroptimism.  We strive hard to make a difference to individuals and groups, locally, nationally, and Internationally, supporting in a financial way or giving service.  Locally we support Young Carers, Charles Thompson Mission, Domestic Violence Groups, The Response Team and Breast Care Cancer Clatterbridge Hospital.  This year I have also chosen to support Leaukemia and associated diseases, Wirral Toy Library and Swallows and Amazons.

We have friendship links with other Soroptimists in other parts of the world, namely Albany Australia and Port Elizabeth in South Africa.  Our Strong links with Port Elizabeth gives us opportunity to give support to several there.

We sound a busy club, which we are, but along the way we have a lot of fun.  Throughout the year we hold events to raise funds and we also have fun times with theatre trips, barbeques and even holidays.  We are a friendly club and welcome new members, why not come along and see what we do?

Outsife of Soroptimism I enjoy time with my family and friends, and my five grandchildren and two great granddaughters keep me busy.
